Emma Hard is a Program Fellow at GKFF, specializing in criminal justice and domestic violence initiatives. Prior to joining the foundation, Emma worked as a psychotherapist and social worker within a variety of settings, including public defender’s office Appellate Advocates, domestic violence organization HELP ROADS, Pediatric Hematology at Mount Sinai Hospital and private practice. She also worked in nonprofit operations at WORTHLESSSTUDIOS, a public arts organization in Brooklyn, supporting projects related to criminal justice reform such as 1-800 Happy Birthday. She holds an MSW from New York University and a BA from Stanford University. In her free time, Emma loves to sing and make music, ideally on the piano in her Lola’s home.
