Tulsa Recognized as a Destination for the Arts
Tulsans of all ages and backgrounds are coming together across the city to enjoy our vibrant and diverse arts scene — from free concerts at Guthrie Green and the First Friday Art Crawl in the Arts District to galleries at the Bob Dylan Center to exhibitions by Tulsa Artist Fellows.
Tulsans and visitors from across the country are recognizing the city as a growing and inclusive home for arts and culture. The revitalization of the Tulsa Arts District, Guthrie Green, the Woody Guthrie Center, the Bob Dylan Center and the Tulsa Artist Fellowship — efforts and programs that are backed by GKFF’s support — are being heralded as catalysts in this artistic boom.
The Tulsa Artist Fellowship (TAF), which offers financial support housing and studio space for a diverse group of artists from all disciplines, has gained particular praise for fostering creativity. In a Forbes profile on arts in Tulsa, TAF and its retention of artists was highlighted as a successful effort in embedding creatives into the community.
