Building a World-Class Tech Hub in America’s Heartland
Founded in 2020 by GKFF, Tulsa Innovation Labs (TIL) fuels economic opportunity in the region through innovation by connecting resources, ideas and people.
TIL brings unique partners together to identify opportunities in the community and design solutions.
TIL also supports the growth of startups through Rose Rock Bridge — a premier energy tech incubator designed to attract high-growth energy tech startups to Tulsa and provide bespoke startup support services.
Additional efforts help train diverse talent, expand job opportunities and spur academic innovation across the city. Signature initiatives include an energy tech foundry, a cyber innovation institute and an autonomous mobility launchpad.
The backbone of Tulsa's Tech Hub
Tulsa has received two major federal grants from the U.S. Department of Commerce to establish the region as a leading tech hub in advanced mobility, or drones. With federal funding and matching contributions that amounts to nearly a quarter billion dollars, TIL is the backbone of “Tulsa’s Tech Hub”, securing a designation from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration and $51.7 million of implementation funding to establish Tulsa as a leader in autonomous technologies, or drones. They are currently working with coalition partners to launch projects centered around making our region a hub for developing, testing, manufacturing and deploying these technologies.
Tulsa is one of only two regions to receive both a Build Back Better Regional Challenge award and a Tech Hub grant. These recognitions and funding will enable significant job creation and transform Tulsa’s economy.
